The last night in Paris we spend at Restaurant Laperouse, the one and only reastaurant in Paris which features private rooms, in which one can eat, drink and satisfy whatever other appetites one has. In these rooms, one can always hear the discreet warning cough of the waiters as they near your private dining room which, in addition to having a table, is also furnished with a couch. On the mirrors one can still see the scratches made by the mistresses who didn't take diamonds for their face values. Victor Hugo, George Sand, Emile Zola were the regulars there along with many other celebreties.

We couldn't get the reservation in the private quarters, so we were seating in one of the main rooms with a marvelous view of the Siene river. The chez Alain Hacquard prepared excelelnt raw snapper carpaccio (in the picture) some crab creation for Susanne, and we shared the veal for two. Laperouse was the place of the second WINE orgasm, when Margaux just exploded in the mouth when cheese course was served. One of the cheeses had an ammonia coating and mixed with wine in the mouth ...waiters coughed when they heard the sounds coming from us, they usually only hear those sounds coming from the private rooms.

Did I say before: "We LOVE Paris"?
